Command



          Major Santos joined CAP & the Jersey City Composite Squadron in 2006. There he served as the squadron’s Public Affairs & Recruitment/Retention Officer.  In 2010 he became Deputy Commander for the squadron and also held roles as the Public Affairs & Recruitment/Retention Officer at Group 221 of New Jersey Wing. He was awarded the New Jersey Wing Public Affairs Officer of the Year award in 2011. In 2012, he transferred to the Florida Wing where he joined the Treasure Coast Composite Squadron serving as Deputy Commander of Cadets as well as Public Affairs, Recruitment & Retention Officer. In 2013 he was part of the ground team receiving the Col Dion E. DeCamp Ground Team of the Year Award at wing (Florida) level. He transferred back to the New Jersey Wing in late 2013 and became commander of the Jersey City Composite Squadron in October 2014.
